Goals from Lewandowski and Leroy Sane helped 10 men Bayern Munich defeat Salzburg 3-1 as they progressed to the next stages of the UEFA Champions League, MySportDab reports.

First Half Report

An entertaining first half encounter which managed to provide one goal from the home team who had much of the ball going forward.

Salzburg was impressive giving the fact that they were up against a formidable side who are the current Champions.

Robert Lewandowski struck late to give Bayern Munich the much needed lead with a fine finish to put his side 1-0 ahead in the game.

The first half ended with Bayern Munich 1-0 Salzburg as the referee signaled for the end of the first 45 minutes.

Second Half Report

The second half was much of the same with the Bavarians controlling play and creating so many chances to score.

Kingsley Coman made it 2-0 for Bayern Munich in the 52nd minute after a lovely buildup play which saw his strike deflected past the goalkeeper.

Salzburg still couldn’t make anything happen despite Marc Roca sending off reducing the home team to 10 men.

Leroy Sane scored in the 68th minute to make it 3-0 and it didn’t took long for the away side to pull one back 3-1 in the 73rd minute through Mergim Berisha.

The match ended with Bayern Munich 3-1 Salzburg as the UEFA Champions League winners cruise home with three points.
