Manchester United have now officially completed the signing of Striker Edinson Cavani, MySportDab reports.
Cavani has signed a one-year contract deal with the option for another year with Manchester United until 2022.
Negotiations only started in the last few days for Cavani and the 33-year-old has now completed his Old Trafford transfer.
According to MySportDab sources, Cavani arrived in Manchester today and completed his medical alongside new signing Alex Telles.
The Red Devils announced the arrival of Cavani via their social media platforms:
Speaking to manutd.com, Edinson Cavani said: “Manchester United is one of the best clubs in the world, so it is an honour to be here. I’ve worked very hard during my time off and I feel eager to represent this great club.
“I have played for some of the most passionate fans in football during my career and I know that it will be a greater experience in Manchester. I can’t wait to experience the atmosphere at Old Trafford, when it’s safe for fans to return.
“I look forward to continuing my story inside the book of football and I know my focus has to remain – work, work, work. I have spoken with the manager and our conversation increased my desire to wear this fantastic shi rt.”
Cavani was a free agent after a painful exit from Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
The Uruguay International will now face his former club again in the Champions League group stage.
