Inter Milan have now announced that Ashley Young has tested positive for coronavirus, MySportDab reports.

Inter also confirmed that Young is already in quarantine after Covid-19 tests at the club out on Saturday.

Young has been part of all three Serie A matches at Inter Milan so far this season.

Ashley Young is now the sixth Inter Milan player to have contracted the virus.

There is currently doubts in Italy that next week Saturday’s derby match against AC Milan may be postponed.

Inter Milan player Alessandro Bastoni also tested positive for Covid-19 earlier this the week as the cases continue to rise in the Serie A.

Defender Milan Skriniar also tested positive and it was confirmed by Slovakia’s Football Association on Thursday.

Other players like Belgium midfielder Radja Nainggolan, Ionut Radu and Roberto Gagliardini had also gotten the virus.

And if the Milan derby next week is not played, it will cause more chaos in the Italian league.

Juventus’ match against Napoli was not played after Gennaro Gattuso’s side were not allowed to travel to Turin after first-team players Elif Elmas and Piotr Zielinski tested positive for Covid-19.

A decision about if the game will be re played on another date will be confirmed by Italian courts next week.
