According to Spanish sources and Sky Sports, Lionel Messi has told Barcelona that he wants to leave the Nou Camp.
Messi was due to meet up with his Barcelona team mates this weekend for the start of pre-season training.

The clause had expired in May when the football season would have finished but things changed.
But the season did not end until August due to the coronavirus pandemic break.
Now, Barcelona can’t demand the £630m release clause in Lionel Messi’s contract.
But Messi remains one of the best paid footballers in the world and there are a few clubs that can pay his wages.
Inter Milan have been previously linked with a move to take Messi to Italy.
Paris Saint-Germain also have the financial power to sign Lionel Messi after bringing in Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.
A move to the Premier League remains possible and Manchester City is likely with a reunion at Pep Guardiola’s side.
