Manchester City outclassed Newcastle in a 5-0 thrashing as Jesus and Mahrez scored first half while Silva and Sterling hit target in the second half, MySportDab reports.

First Half Report

Manchester City scored twice in the first 45 minutes of the encounter as Newcastle were left chasing shadows.

Gabriel Jesus opened the scoring in the 10th minute of the game after he was assisted by David Silva.

Kevin De Bruyne helped set up Riyad Mahrez for the second goal in the 21st minute of the game.

It ended 2-0 in favour of Manchester City before the referee ended the first half which saw Newcastle clueless.

Second Half Report

It was more of the same as the second 45 minutes produced three goals for the Citizens.

Fernandez for Newcastle United committed an own goal in the 58th minute which saw City took a 3-0 lead.

 

It was more of the home side doing all the playing as they controlled the entire match.

David Silva made it four in the 65th minute after he curled in a direct freekick which beat the goalkeeper.

Raheem Sterling made it 5-0 in the last minute of play after David Silva pass met the England international.
