Five Barcelona first team players tested positive for the coronavirus but the Spanish club refused to share the information with the public, MySportDab reports.

Catalonia based radio station RAC1 accused of Barcelona of hiding CoronaVirus results on its program Tu Diras this week.

RAC1 did not name the five players that tested positive but  the positive tests came just after the crisis started in Spain.

MySportDab understands that the players showed no signs of the virus and were confirmed positive only after testing.

All the five players that tested positive have now recovered from the virus and are back in full training.

However, Barcelona failed to disclose the information to the public and are yet to respond on RAC1’s claims.

Barcelona will resume La Liga action away at Mallorca on June 13th after the Spanish government allowed for football to return this month.

Spain are one of the affected countries during the global pandemic, with over 200,000 confirmed cases and more than 27,000 deaths.

Speaking in May, Lionel Messi revealed the struggles of being in Spain’s lockdown.

‘None of us know how how the world will look like after everything is back to normal,’ Messi told El Pais Semanal.

‘I think football, and life in general, will ever be the same.’
