Manchester United And Chelsea are both monitoring the situation of Lyon Striker Moussa Dembele after club president Aulas revealed he may be forced to sell players, MySportDab reports.

The Premier League clubs are interested in the 23-year-old former Celtic player, who has scored 22 goals across all competitions this 2019-20 season.

Chelsea tried to sign the Frenchman in the January transfer window but failed and now they have new motivation to try again this summer.

MySportDab understands Lyon are ready to listen to offers around £60m, after club president Jean-Michel Aulas confirmed plans to sell.

‘We will try everything possible to keep out players,’ Aulas told French News outlet Le Progres.

‘But players who are determined to play in Europe could leave because we can’t provide them European football.’

The French Ligue 1 season was cancelled last week due to the coronavirus crisis and Lyon won’t be able to play in Europe next season because they are seventh on the league table.

Due to this, Lyon could allow their star striker to leave after 42 goals in 88 matches across all competitions for the club.

Dembele moved back to the French league from Celtic in 2018 after a successful time in Scotland and won the Scottish Premiership thrice, League Cup and Scottish Cup twice.

He has played for Fulham before as a teenager after signing for them from PSG’s youth team back in 2012.

Frank Lampard and Chelsea want some competition for Tammy Abraham in attack, with Michy Batshuayi likely to quit Stamford Bridge this summer.

Manchester United Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is also in search of a new Striker frontman, if they decide not to sign Odion Ighalo from Shanghai Shenhua permanently.
