Manchester City and Real Madrid Champions League second leg match is now scheduled for August 7 after its original date was postponed, MySportDab reports.

The new confirmed date will give Real Madrid almost three months to prepare as Zinedine Zidane’s team will have played their 11 LaLiga fixtures by July ending.

Real Madrid are behind Pep Guardiola’s team after a 2-1 loss in the first-leg in Madrid on February 26.

But Los Blancos will be very difficult to defeat again when both clubs meet in a few months.

Also, Zinedine Zidane is yet to lose a Champions League knockout match when he’s Real Madrid Coach.

However, with the Premier League title far from sight, Manchester City main attention is now on the Champions League.

Pep Guardiola’s team are yet to win the competition and with a two-year European ban likely to come into effect, they will be desperate to win the Champions League for once at least.

While Real Madrid are still challenging for the LaLiga title, winning the Champions League would help them alot financially during a difficult situation for football in Spain.

UEFA’s executive board will hold a meeting on May 27th and a final decision will be made on the Champions League and Europa League.

The decision on that date wil determine the dates for Barcelona vs Napoli, Bayern Munich vs Chelsea among others.
