Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes has revealed he got his inspiration from Barcelona Legend Andreas Iniesta, MySportDab reports.

Bruno Fernandes has been fantastic since his move from Sporting Lisbon to Manchester United in January and claims he’s modelled his game around Barcelona legend Andres Iniesta.

The former Barcelona player now at Japanese club Vissel Kobe has won almost every title and trophy in football.

Iniesta has won nine La Liga titles, 13 league trophies, four Champions League finals, two European Championships with Spain including the World Cup.

The only major award the 35-year-old failed to get in his stunning football career is the Ballon D’or.

However, Bruno Fernandes still loves the legendary midfielder playmaker who was a very important player at Barcelona.

Iniesta

“I liked to watch Iniesta, because he is a mix of an eight and a 10. It is a way I can improve, between eight and 10 position,” Fernandes said to Manchester United’s official website.

“He always likes to have the ball, take risks, and I believe Iniesta was one of the best midfielders in the world.

“For me, am surprised how Iniesta finished his career without winning the Ballon d’Or. With all the trophies he won, it’s difficult to understand!”

Also, Fernandes looked up to other talented footballers like former United Player Cristiano Ronaldo.

He added: “I have a lot of players I like alot.

“In my first few years, the player I believe everyone liked was Ronaldinho.

“For me, he’s the only player that can to take you and put youin front of the TV, and watch for hours. Because he always showed that energy and happiness. He was happy in everything.

“It feels great when you see guys playing like that, so during the first few years Ronaldinho was yes my favourite player.

“After, I have said before that Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the players. As a footballer, he is the best to follow.”

Bruno Fernandes signed for United for £46million in the January transfer window after months of rumours.

The 27-year-old has helped the Red Devils to a 11 match unbeaten run before football was suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.
