Liverpool have not played since their 2-1 win against Bournemouth on March 7th at Anfield and Manchester City’s defeat to rivals Manchester United ensured they are just six points away from securing the title.

Klopp’s team are aiming to become the first Liverpool sqaud to win the Premier league since 1990 after 30 years.

The Premier League’s suspension has created doubts on if Liverpool will finally win the title this season or not.

However, Speaking to Fox Sports, Jurgen Klopp revealed his players are very desperate to play again and get everything done.

“There’s a lot of work to be done, physical work because we are ready to go again,” Klopp said.

“I can’t say when exactly but we have to be prepared and that is what the squad are doing.

“When we return again, we have to be better and take advantage of the situation at hand

“We are now sure how many weeks we will get to prepare for the matches, so we will just try.”

Should the 2019-20 Premier League season resume on June 12, then the league should be completed within seven weeks.
