Manchester United star Luke Shaw believes it would be a better decision to scrap the Premier League season, MySportDab reports.

If the season it Scrapped, Liverpool would miss out on their first Premier League title in 30 years.

Jurgen Klopp’s team are currently 25 points clear at the top of the table and need just two more match wins to secure the title.

All Premier League games have been postponed indefinitely because the UK is on lockdown during the coronavirus outbreak.

MySportDab understands there are still questions on how football will resume and if this season can continue or be Scrapped.

But United left-back Shaw has backed the Premier League to start scrap the current season and start afresh.

“Scrap it, restart. Start it again yes,” Shaw said during a FIFA Competition.

“It has to be done you know. If we can’t continue it’s got to be void.”

Premier League chiefs are still in talks with the government about football returning back in June with games played behind closed doors.

However, Shaw is not very pleased about playing in empty stadiums.

He adds: “Fans are very crucial. We all can realise it even more now, I think the sport is fans based, do you know what I mean?

“I believe that without fans, and you don’t play with the fans there, it just feels weird.

“Especially on Matchdays the fans are always amazing and helping the team. Either home or even away, our fans are always there and I feel like they’re always with us.”

Manchester United are currently fifth in the Premier League table, three points behind Chelsea in 4th.

If the season should continue then the Red Devils will have a strong shot of qualifying for the Champions League next season.
