Manchester United have been given a huge boost in their bid to sign Borussia Dortmund Winger Jadon Sancho, with a top football agent dismissing links to Chelsea and Liverpool, MySportDab reports.

Jadon Sancho is the No 1 transfer target of both Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Chief Ed Woodward having impressed in the German Bundesliga this season and scored 14 goals, providing 15 assists from 23 league matches so far.

Manchester United are currently frontrunners in the race to sign Sancho, who has been their target for over a year.

Both Solskjaer and Woodward agree that the 20-year-old has all the requirements for the club having watched him play in German Bundesliga over the last three years.

Manchester United are prepared to give Sancho the No 7 shirt and a massive weekly salary that would see him become the club’s highest-earner ahead of David De Gea.

Now, A leading agent has fuelled talks of a transfer to Old Trafford for the winger by insisting transfers to Liverpool and Chelsea is unlikely.

Speaking to South China Morning Post, the football agent said: “No matter how good he is, there’s actually a limited market for Sancho right now.

“Dortmund are not ready to sell him to Bayern Munich, not because they’re rivals but Dortmund are currently in a balanced financial position than when they sold previous players like Robert Lewandowski.

“Liverpool are not searching for £100 million players and clearly won’t give him first team football. I’ve had talks with Klopp, they’d rather pay half the amount for a player behind Sancho who they think they can surely improve.”

On Chelsea, the agent continued: “I’ve read the Chelsea reports and I’m convinced that it’s just a move to start an an auction situation which would suit Sancho’s agents and Dortmund.

“Pedro and Willian will leave Chelsea for nothing when the season is over.

“Roman Abramovich is more focused on keeping the squad together than breaking transfer records.

“They sold Morata and brought in Tammy Abraham back on loan. They signed Higuain on loan. They won’t pay much any more.”

Manchester City have also been linked with Sancho, but it looks very unlikely.

Coach Pep Guardiola sold Sancho to Dortmund in 2017 but the agent believes a move won’t happen.

Borussia Dortmund want at least £120million for the England international and the Red Devils are prepared to pay.
