Bayern Munich are ready to submit a £75m Bid for Liverpool Striker Roberto Firmino in the summer transfer window, MySportDab reports.
Liverpool are keen to sign RB Leipzig Striker Timo Werner in the summer and Bayern Munich are looking to make use on the situation by offering Firmino the chance to secure a return to the Bundesliga.
According to The Sun, Bayern Munich have made Firmino their main transfer target at the end of the season and are ready to pay Liverpool £75million to sign the Brazilian.
28-year-old Firmino has been an instrumental player for Jurgen Klopp this season, and while the striker doesn’t score much goals, his link up play with Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah has proved very important in the club’s title challenge this season.
The Brazilian scored only 10 goals in 36 appearances this season, but his 12 assists provided and all-round play has helped Liverpool alot.
MySportDab understands Bayern see Firmino as the ideal player to partner with their main striker Robert Lewandowski.
Liverpool have been following Timo Werner’s situation closely at RB Leipzig and while the team, who are currently second in the Bundesliga, ruled out a January sale, the summer looks more possible.
The 23-year-old’s contract runs until 2023 and has been in sensational form this season.
He has scored 25 goals and also provided 10 assists in 30 appearances for the German Bundesliga club.
However, his arrival at Anfield would no doubt put Firmino’s starting spot in jeopardy and if Bayern offer Liverpool a huge bid for the centre-forward it would be a difficult decision for Klopp.
But Firmino isn’t the only Premier League player Bayern are interested in making a move for in the summer, as they also want Manchester City winger Leroy Sane at the Allianz Arena at the end of the season.
The 23-year-old is into the final 18-months of his current deal at the Etihad and has considered leaving the club in the future.
