The Cote d’Ivoire international has shed light on the enhancements being made within the Gunners squad beneath the Spanish tactician.

Arsenal forward Nicolas Pepe is of the opinion that there are “encouraging signs” beneath the guidance of Mikel Arteta.

The former Gunners midfielder took charge once Unai emery was sacked and has overseen eight competitive games, losing just one occasion.

He has won 2 and drawn the remaining 5.

Pepe has featured in all the games beneath Arteta together with his best performance coming within the New Year’s Day Day 2-0 triumph over Manchester United during which he scored.

“Things are going completely thus far, we’ve got some sensible results and are enjoying sensible soccer,” Pepe aforesaid on the club web site .

“There has definitely been some encouraging signs and we understand that we do have quality and that we have what it takes to do well on the pitch.

“Mikel Arteta has explained to me what he would really like me to do on the pitch and he has shown me videos that have stressed the importance of my positioning.

“He has told me precisely what he would really like me to do to help me progress as a player.”

Pepe additionally revealed how his improved performances are helping him thrive aboard the likes of Alexandre Lacazette, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Mesut Ozil.

“It’s nice to play with such players [like Lacazette, Aubameyang and Ozil] and it’s been working very well,” he continued .

“We are good with linking up with one another and we’re capable of enjoying good soccer.

“We support one another on the pitch and as an attacking player it’s perpetually nice to possess somebody like Mesut Ozil feeding passes into you so it’s gratifying.”

Arsenal are away to Bournemouth within the fourth round of the fa Cup next Monday night.
