Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has agreed to a new contract with Manchester City, MySportDab reports.

The Spaniard, who has been in the reins as City manager since 2016, will extend his stay with the club to a decade following an impressive nine-year stint with the Premier League giants.

In a report shared by Fabrizio Romano, Guardiola has agreed to a new one-year contract extension until the end of 2025-26 season.

Also, as part of the agreement, he could extend his stay with the club to 11 years with a 2027 option that has been attached to the deal.

Guardiola is arguably the best Premier League manager in the last nine years. The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager has overseen an era of unprecedented sporting success with Manchester City.

He has won the Premier League six times with four of those secured consecutively in the last four Premier League seasons.

He has also won two FA Cups, four EFL Cups, three Community Shields, one Champions League, one FIFA Club World Cup, and one UEFA Super Cup.

In the 2022-23 season, Guardiola became the first football club manager to win a treble with two different clubs after leading Manchester City to a domestic treble – a feat he also attained while at Barcelona.

He was on the last lap of his two-year contract which he signed at the end of the treble-winning campaign and is future was in the air with a few months left on the deal.

Now, speculations on his future with the Cityzens has summarily ended as he settles for one more season after the ongoing campaign and a possible 2027 option.
