A new video further complicating Spanish Football Chief Luis Rubiales’ kiss scandal has emerged, MySportDab reports.
A firestorm of reactions have trailed Luis Rubiales kiss scandal during the medals ceremony of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
There have been claims and counterclaims from both sides of the divide defending and criticizing Luis Rubiales.
The Spanish FA have been on the defense of Luis Rubiales since the row over the kiss scandal took center stage.
They have insisted Hermoso, the Spanish female footballer that was kissed by Luis Rubiales, is not saying the truth about the incident.
According to the Spanish FA, Hermoso consented to the kiss and obviously lifted Luis Rubiales off the ground to kiss him.
Luis Rubiales also holds the same narrative of the incident, insisting Hermoso agreed to the kiss and lifted him up.in the process.
He repeatedly stated he will not resign as he has done nothing wrong and has been wrongly targeted.
Hermoso has since maintained Luis Rubiales’ and Spanish FA’s narrative of the incident is incorrect as she did not agree to the kiss.
The two sides gave posted series of footage trying to prove their points.
Now, a new video has emerged disproving the Spanish FA’s claims that Hermoso agreed to the kiss and lifted Luis Rubiales up.
In the new footage, which is available at the end of this post, Luis Rubiales could be seen lifting himself up into the arms of Hermoso not the other way around.
This means the Spanish Chief actually pushed for the kiss without the consent of Hermoso contrary to Spanish FA’s narrative.
After Luis Rubiales refused to sign, he has been suspended for three months by FIFA pending the outcome of investigations.
Also, in another emergency meeting convened by the Spanish FA involving all regional presidents of Spanish Football, Luis Rubiales has been asked by the regional authorities to resign.
