Barcelona continued their excellent start to the La Liga season with a dominant and entertaining 7-2 victory over newly promoted Racing Santander at the Spotify Camp Nou.
The Catalan giants were in complete control for most of the game as Raphinha scored a hat-trick, while Joao Cancelo, Gabriel Jesus, and Lamine Yamal also got on the scoresheet.
The home side started brightly and took the lead in the 8th minute. Joao Cancelo received the ball outside the box and unleashed a powerful right-footed strike that flew into the net to make it 1-0 for Barcelona.

The home side continued to attack and doubled their advantage in the 25th minute. Raphinha calmly converted a penalty after Racing Santander conceded a spot-kick, giving the Brazilian winger his first goal of the night and making it 2-0.
The visitors responded quickly with a goal in the 30th minute, as Maguette Gueye found the back of the net to reduce the deficit and bring Racing Santander back into the match at 2-1.
However, Barca restored their two-goal cushion six minutes later. Cancelo struck again from distance in the 36th minute which immediately saw things increased between both teams.
His effort took a slight deflection before beating the goalkeeper, giving the Portuguese defender his second goal of the game and putting Barca 3-1 ahead as they pushed on.
The hosts were not done before the break. In the 42nd minute, Dani Olmo delivered a clever through pass to Raphinha, who finished confidently to score his second goal of the match and make it 4-1.
Lamine Yamal was present with an opportunity of increasing the advantage after the match official pointed to the spot, but he missed a penalty before halftime.
Racing Santander started the second half with some energy and scored again after a mistake from substitute goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny.
Zabiri capitalized on the error to make it 4-2 and briefly give the visitors hope of a comeback in the 65th minute. The home side quickly regained full control of the encounter.
Karim Adeyemi caused problems throughout the match and won another penalty for the hosts. Raphinha stepped up in the 67th minute and converted from the spot to complete his hat-trick and increase the lead to 5-2.
The Brazilian’s performance was one of the standout displays of the season so far. The goals kept coming for Hansi Flick’s side as they were still hungry for more.
In the 79th minute, Gabriel Jesus marked another impressive appearance with a fine finish to score Barcelona’s sixth goal of the evening which made it 6-2. The Brazilian striker needed little time to make his impact after entering the game.
Lamine Yamal completed the scoring in the 89th minute. The young star had earlier missed a penalty but responded well by finding the net late in the game.

Adeyemi played an important role in the move, helping create the chance that allowed Yamal to score Barcelona’s seventh goal.
The 7-2 victory means Barcelona remain perfect in La Liga, continuing their impressive winning run and showing once again why they are among the strongest attacking teams in Spain this season.
