Arsenal drop points to open up Premier League title race after playing a 1-1 draw against Brentford, MySportDab reports.
It wasn’t an easy outing for Mikel Arteta who saw his side gave everything possible to make sure they grabbed maximum points.
First Half Report
The match was close between both teams in terms of performance which wasn’t based off the quality they both had on the pitch.
Arsenal struggled to put anything together as their opponent did not make it easy for them to have their way.
The opportunities kept on coming but Brentford did well enough to make sure they did not go down as they also came close to scoring.
Both teams were level all through the entire 45 minutes of action which was fair enough for the home team.
Second Half Report
They resumed with more pace and drive which was needed to make sure they got the job done after a strong first half.
Noni Madueke gave the Gunners a lead after teaming up with Hincapie who provided the assist that made it 0-1 in the 61st minute.
Lewis Potter leveled things with a goal which came through an assist from Van den Berg as the scoreline became 1-1 in the 71st minute as play continued.
The game came to an end with Brentford holding Arsenal to a 1-1 draw which opens the Premier League title race with Manchester City strongly pushing.
