Arsenal claimed a 8-7 penalty victory against Crystal Palace after a 1-1 draw which qualify them for Carabao Cup semifinal, MySportDab reports.
The Gunners setup another London Derby in the Carabao Cup which will be against Chelsea who defeated Cardiff City.
First Half Report
It was a strong game between both teams who held their own so well all through the match which had opportunities.
Arsenal were seen as the much better side, but they couldn’t put anything together to work in their favor.
Crystal Palace also had same struggle which they did well enough to keep themselves in the match as it pushed on.
Second Half Report
The second half was different as both teams did something else which resulted in the goals coming in.
An own-goal from Lacroix in the 80th minute saw the Gunners took a 1-0 lead which was looking like the winner.
Marc Guehi leveled things in the additional time with assist from Lerma which made sure it was 1-1 between both teams.
Penalty Report
Both teams did well enough as they kept their first five penalties inside each other’s net while no winner could be found.
It carried on until Lacroix missed the last penalty which saw Arsenal claimed a 8-7 victory to advance into the semi finals.
