Manchester United played out a 1-1 draw but ended up beating Fiorentina 5-4 via penalties at Old Trafford, MySportDab reports.
The match was marked by David de Gea homecoming for the first time after his exit years ago under Erik Ten Hag era.

The game started off with so much buzz about Benjamin Sesko unveiling and De Gea returning to Old Trafford where he once called his home.
Both teams started off so well in the match pushing to see what weaknesses they could explore against themselves.
Fiorentina were able to break the deadlock in the 8th minute after a wonderful finish from Simon Sohm which was able to make things 0-1.
It was pressure for the Premier League side knowing it was a game on their home ground which they should be doing well.
An own-goal from Robin Gosens in the 25th minute made sure the home side were able to make a comeback 1-1 which was how things ended after first half.
They both resumed hostility at Old Trafford with more work needed to be done by both teams who wanted to get more.

There was nothing happening in the match which dragged on despite numerous amount of changes being made by both teams.
