Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has addressed his future with the club, MySportDab reports.
The German tactician has enjoyed a stellar eight months in the reins as Barcelona manager.
He kicked off his reign with a statement victory over Real Madrid to win the 2025 Spanish Super Cup and has went ahead to become the club’s first manager to defeat Real Madrid three times in a row.
The most recent of which was a dramatic 3-2 Copa Del Rey final victory over the arch-rivals in Seville – a triumph that saw him snatch a trophy from the La Liga and European champions for the second time in a row.
Moreover, the German’s magic wane that has won Barcelona the bragging right over Real Madrid lately hasn’t stop there.
He has led the club to the top of the La Liga table to close in on the La Liga title and has reached the final four of the UEFA Champions League to close in on a treble.
By all ramifications, Flick has exceeded expectations on his debut campaign at Barcelona and has been backed by the club’s hierarchy to continue in the dugout next season.
However, he only signed a one-year contract which is set to expire at the end of the season. This has spurred speculations on his future with the club.
Addressing the speculations in Inter Milan pre-match press conference, Flick revealed he is happy to manage the club and would love staying with the Catalan giants.
“I am very happy to be at Barcelona, to work here, with the club, with the players, with the staff around us”.
“I love staying here at Barcelona,” Fabrizio Romano quotes.
Despite having a few months left on his current deal, close sources report that the former Bayern Munich manager is set to sign a new two-year contract with the club till 2027.
