The latest blowout came courtesy of the Boston Celtics, the defending NBA champions, who outclassed the Golden State Warriors, 125-85, in San Francisco, MySportDab Reports.

Tatum led the Celtics with 22 points, nine rebounds and seven assists. Because the Celtics held a commanding lead, he was able to sit the entire fourth quarter. The squad showcased surprising depth and defensive pressure, suffocating the Warriors and strengthening their championship hopes.

Cavaliers Outclass Suns

In Cleveland, the Cavaliers breezed to a 118-92 victory over the Phoenix Suns. Donovan Mitchell led the way with 33 points for the winning team. Facing the Cavaliers without Evan Mobley, Isaac Okoro and Caris LeVert, the Knicks never led and trailed by as many as 32 at one point. Kevin Durant scored 33 points for the Suns, though Devin Booker had an off night, with only 15 points. That brought the Cavaliers’ record for the season to a staggering 36-6. Mitchell credited his teammates, saying that everyone stepped up at a high level.

Around the League

The Memphis Grizzlies squeaked out an exhilarating 108-106 victory against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Memphis erased a 16-point deficit, and Jaren Jackson Jr. had 24 points and 11 rebounds. Desmond Bane also totaled 22 points, including a critical floater late. Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards scored 32 points, but had a potential winning shot rattle off the rim at the buzzer.

The New York Knicks lulled the Atlanta Hawks into submission, 119-110, ending Atlanta’s three-game winning streak. Jalen Brunson was the Knicks’ leading scorer with 34 points, and Trae Young scored 27 points for the Hawks.

The Detroit Pistons defeated the Houston Rockets, 107-96. Cade Cunningham paced the Pistons with 32 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists. Jalen Duren added 16 points and 14 rebounds.

Charlotte Hornets 110, Dallas Mavericks 105 LaMelo Ball and Miles Bridges each scored 23 points, and though Kyrie Irving scored 33 points, the Mavericks lost for the fourth time in five games.

The night showcased the league’s competitive spirit, with some top teams asserting themselves and some underdogs making a strong showing.
