Real Madrid claimed an important 3-0 victory over Racing Santander in their La Liga clash away from the Santiago Bernabeu.

Kylian Mbappe, Jude Bellingham and Yan Diomande scored as the visitors took control of the game at El Sardinero, going on to claim all points.

Jose Mourinho’s side scored all three goals in the first half, giving them a comfortable advantage before the first half break.

The host struggled to match their opponents’ attacking quality despite creating a few dangerous moments going forward.

Real Madrid started the match on the front foot and created an early chance through Arda Guler. The midfielder fired just wide after a move involving Trent Alexander-Arnold and Bellingham.

Bellingham then came close to scoring with a header, but Racing Santander goalkeeper Julen Agirrezabala produced an excellent save to keep the game level.

However, the visitors were awarded a penalty in the 11th minute after Kylian Mbappe went down in the penalty area following contact with Alvaro Mantilla.

The decision was controversial, and Racing Santander players and supporters were unhappy with the referee’s call to give the penalty.

Kylian Mbappe stepped up and sent his penalty into the left corner, beating Agirrezabala to give Real Madrid a 1-0 lead as play continued.

The host responded quickly, with Iker Luque forcing Thibaut Courtois into an important save. The Madrid goalkeeper stopped his powerful effort and prevented the hosts from equalising.

The visitors increased their advantage in the 21st minute through Bellingham. Mbappe helped start the attacking move before Arda Guler delivered the pass that allowed the England international to find the back of the net.

The goal made it 2-0 and gave Madrid greater control of the encounter. It was also a special moment for Bellingham, who reached 50 goals for the Spanish giants.

Racing tried to respond, but Madrid continued to create chances. Guler tested Agirrezabala again, while the visitors also threatened from set pieces as play continued.

Racing made an early substitution in the 29th minute, bringing on Pedro Felipe for Mantilla as they looked for a way back into the game.

Jeanuel Belocian received a yellow card in the 34th minute as the home side struggled to contain Real Madrid’s attacking threat.

Madrid added their third goal in the 36th minute through Yan Diomande. The forward produced an impressive finish from outside the penalty area to beat Agirrezabala and make it 3-0.

His goal capped an excellent first-half performance from the visitors. Diomande’s strike gave his side a commanding advantage, leaving the host with a difficult task after the break.

Guler went close again, while Bellingham also missed a header from a corner as Jose Mourinho’s team continued to threaten. Iker Luque received a yellow card in first-half stoppage time.

The teams went into the interval with Madrid leading 3-0. The visitors maintained their advantage after the restart and continued to look dangerous going forward.

The home side attempted to find a response, but they struggled to create enough clear chances to trouble Courtois consistently.

A potential penalty decision against Real Madrid was overturned following a VAR review after a handball appeal involving Aurelien Tchouameni.

Bellingham later had another goal ruled out for offside following a move involving substitute Endrick. The Brazilian also tried to get on the scoresheet but could not add another goal.

They managed the closing stages well, protecting their lead and preventing the home team from finding a way back into the contest.

The match came to a conclusion with Real Madrid claiming a 3-0 victory against Racing Santander who couldn’t match everything the visitors threw at them all through the 90 minutes.

Mbappe scored from the penalty spot, Bellingham finished a move assisted by Guler, and Diomande completed the scoring with a superb strike from distance.

The match also featured missed chances, an important save from Courtois and a penalty appeal overturned after a VAR review.

Real Madrid’s clinical first-half performance proved decisive, as they secured all three points without conceding a goal.

This victory put Jose Mourinho and his players in a good position as they continue to chase after Barcelona and Atletico Madrid who are both ahead of them on the La Liga table.
