Manchester United suffered another horrible defeat 3-0 to Bournemouth at Old Trafford as Michael Carrick’s side delivered another disappointing performance in the Premier League.

Goals from Rayan, Marcus Tavernier and Evanilson gave the visitors all three points. The visitors were more organised, created better chances and punished United’s defensive mistakes to secure an impressive away victory.

The result increased the pressure on Carrick who might be getting sacked soon, while Bournemouth continued their strong record against United at Old Trafford.

The visitors started the match with confidence and created problems for United early in the first half which the host struggled to make much for themselves.

Marcus Tavernier delivered a cross that Evanilson could not direct on target, while Rayan also missed an early opportunity with a close-range header.

Rayan later had another attempt blocked after receiving a pass from Evanilson. The visitors continued to threaten as United struggled to defend against their movement and attacking runs.

Manchester United tried to respond, but their attacking play lacked the quality needed to trouble Bournemouth consistently.

Diogo Dalot sent a left-footed effort high and wide after receiving a pass from Mason Mount which could have easily been a goal.

United captain Bruno Fernandes was left on the bench, with Carrick explaining before the match that the decision was based on footballing reasons.

The visitors took the lead in the 38th minute through Rayan 1-0. The Brazilian forward found space at the back post and finished Justin Kluivert’s outswinging cross from a set-piece situation.

The goal exposed Manchester United’s defensive organisation and gave Bournemouth a deserved advantage after their promising start.

United defender Ayden Heaven had earlier received a yellow card following a dangerous two-footed challenge on Evanilson.

The forward avoided contact, and Heaven escaped a possible red card. The resulting free-kick led to the visitors opening goal of the encounter.

United nearly found an equaliser shortly afterwards. Mason Mount played a pass into Bryan Mbeumo, whose effort across goal was saved by Bournemouth goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic.

However, the home team hopes of getting back into the match suffered another major setback before the half-time break.

The visitors made it 2-0 in the 41st minute after a costly mistake from Leny Yoro. The defender slipped while trying to deal with a ball played into the defensive area.

Adrien Truffert took advantage of the error, moved forward and squared the ball to Tavernier, who calmly finished into the net.

The second goal left United with a difficult task before the break. Frustrated supporters began leaving their seats, while some fans expressed their anger towards the team and manager.

Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans were also booked during the first half, while Harry Maguire received a yellow card around the interval following a shove.

United introduced Matheus Cunha at half-time in an attempt to improve their attacking threat. However, the change did little to turn the match around.

The away team briefly thought they had scored a third goal early in the second half, but the effort was ruled out for offside.

United enjoyed more possession after the break but struggled to create clear opportunities. Lisandro Martinez fired wide from distance, while Yoro sent another attempt over the crossbar.

The visitors eventually scored their third goal in the 71st minute. Tyler Adams played a pass into space behind the United defence, allowing Evanilson to run towards goalkeeper Senne Lammens.

Lammens rushed out but failed to reach the ball first. Evanilson went around the goalkeeper before producing an excellent finish from the right side of the penalty area, sending the ball into the far side of the net.

The goal completed a miserable afternoon for Manchester United and put Bournemouth firmly in control. The host could not find a response during the closing stages.

Shea Lacey provided some late attacking energy, but the away team defended their advantage comfortably. The match ended with a 3-0 victory for the visitors, with Rayan, Tavernier and Evanilson all getting on the scoresheet.

The result left Manchester United facing further questions about their form, defensive organisation and Micheal Carrick’s future as their manager.

Bournemouth, meanwhile, celebrated another memorable result at Old Trafford after taking advantage of United’s mistakes and showing greater efficiency in front of goal.

The troubles continues at Old Trafford as the club will  focus now turns to finding a way to recover from another damaging defeat. For Bournemouth, the win provides a major boost as they continue their Premier League campaign.

Manchester United might be decide to sack Michael Carrick as many source already suggested this game was his only chance of saving his job as the club manager.
