Athletic Bilbao and Spain national team number one Unai Simon wins the Ballon d’Or Awards 2026 men’s best goalkeeper of the year.
This comes after his success with the Spanish national team which he helped won the FIFA World Cup in 2026 against Argentina.
Despite his club nowhere to be good in La Liga or Europe, the goalkeeper was still able to clinch the award over other nominees which includes Emiliano Martinez.
Unai Simon claimed yet another personal accolade for himself after being crowned best Goalkeeper at the FIFA World Cup 2026.
The goalkeeper has proven himself at the biggest stage and also taking over national team duties ahead of Arsenal’s David Raya.
