Following an intense quarter-final stage, the semi-final matchups are officially locked in, setting the stage for two massive clashes that will determine who heads to the grand final in New Jersey.

The tournament has been a whirlwind of level football from the group stages to the knockout phases. France secured their spot in the final four after a clinical 2-0 victory over Morocco which looked very easy under 90 minute.

Joining them is Spain, who edged past Belgium in a tightly contested 2-1 quarter-final match to book their ticket to Dallas. It was a game which the winner came late from Mikel Merino.

On the other side of the bracket, England survived a grueling 120-minute battle against Norway, winning 2-1 in extra time thanks to a stellar brace from Jude Bellingham.

Their reward is a high-profile showdown against Argentina. The defending champions reached the semi-finals by defeating Switzerland 3-1 after extra time, with late goals from Julian Alvarez and Lautaro Martinez reinforcing that this team is much more than just the genius of Lionel Messi.

Confirmed Semi-Final Fixtures

Football fans across the globe are preparing for these two marquee events. Below are the confirmed details for the semi-final matches that are set to kick-off.

France Vs Spain: Both national teams face off in the first FIFA World Cup 2026 semi-final on Tuesday, July 14, 2026.

The match will be held at Dallas Stadium in Arlington, Texas, with a scheduled kick-off time of 8:00 PM Nigerian local time.

Argentina Vs England: Both countries compete in the second semi-final on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at Atlanta Stadium in Georgia.

The match is set to kick off at 8:00 PM Nigerian local time, featuring a historic rivalry with a spot in the final at stake.

Who Will Win The 2026 World Cup?

These fixtures for the semi finals are more than just a path to the trophy, they are historical encounters. The England vs Argentina match is arguably one of the most anticipated games of the tournament, given the historic rivalry between the two nations on the world stage.

From their famous meeting in the 1986 quarter-finals to the penalty drama of 2002, this fixture carries an immense emotional and sporting weight. Similarly, France vs Spain offers a tactical masterclass between two of the most technically gifted squads in world football.

Kylian Mbappé’s pace will be tested against the structure of the Spanish side, making for an unpredictable and tactical battle in Texas.

The winners of these two semi-finals will proceed to the FIFA World Cup Final, scheduled for Sunday, July 19, 2026, at the iconic MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

For the two teams that fall short, a third-place play-off match is scheduled for the day prior, on Saturday, July 18, at Miami Stadium.

As the world turns its eyes to the semi finals, the pressure is at an all-time high. The spot for the final two is up got grabs while one winner is expected to come out after the final that will take place on a Sunday.
