Southampton shock Arsenal as they smashed the Premier League leaders 2-1 to send them out of FA Cup, MySportDab reports.
The Saints against all odds booked their place in the semi final of the Emirates FA Cup after a surprise win.
First Half Report
The odds before kickoff was favorable to Mikel Arteta side as they pressed hard all through the encounter from beginning.
Arsenal did well enough with controlling things but they struggled to make anything happen for themselves.
Southampton remained composed until they scored the opening goal through Stewart who was assisted by Bree as things became 1-0 in the 35th minute.
Nothing else came to play until the first half came to a conclusion with both teams going for the break with a 1-0 scoreline.
Second Half Report
Play resumed with a lot more until Kai Havertz setup Viktor Gyökeres who leveled things 1-1 in the 68th minute of play.
It was looking well for Mikel Arteta side until Shea Charles scored in the 85th minute with assist from Fellows which made things 2-1.
Arsenal tried everything possible but could not make a thing happen as Southampton claimed a shocking 2-1 victory knocking the Premier League side out of FA Cup.
