Brazil have wrapped up their March international friendlies on a strong note with an impressive 3–1 victory over Croatia last night, MySportDab reports.

The Selecao headed into the clash on the back of a 2–1 defeat to France in their previous encounter and needed victory to boost their morale ahead of the highly-anticipated 2026 FIFA World Cup.

As expected, it was a keenly contested matchup with Croatia giving the South American giants a tough run from the start.

Both sides came across a slew of chances early on, but failed to make them count before Danilo finally broke the deadlock just at the last touch of the game in the first half.

Latching on to Vinicius Jr’s assist, the Botafogo midfielder beat the Croatian goalkeeper to swing the contest in Brazil’s favour at the death before the break.

After going down by one goal, Croatia improved immensely in the second half and were looking set to nail home the equalizer.

However, it wasn’t until six minutes before regulation that they finally found the net, making it 1–1 through Wolfsburg midfielder Lovro Majer’s strike.

Majer’s late strike set the stage for a dramatic finish to the game as Brazil surged forward and intensified their attack to retake the lead.

Five minutes after Majer’s equalizer, the Selecao had their late surge yield results as they raced into the lead again through Igor Thiago’s penalty goal.

Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli then scored two minutes into stoppage-time to seal the victory for Carlo Ancelotti.

It was a nervy contest for the 2026 World Cup hopefuls, but a good result was enough to roll back doubts on Carlo Ancelotti’s chances with the team heading into the 2026 World Cup.
