The prestigious Monte-Carlo Masters is approaching its climax, with world number one Carlos Alcaraz and number two Jannik Sinner on course for a highly anticipated final clash, MySportDab Reports.
However, both stars must first overcome tricky semi-final opponents to keep that blockbuster showdown alive.
Sinner faces a familiar challenge against Alexander Zverev, whom he has already beaten twice this season. The Italian arrives in strong form, extending his winning streak at Masters level to 20 matches following titles at Indian Wells and Miami.

Despite concerns over fatigue after a tough encounter with Tomas Machac, Sinner responded impressively with a straight-sets win over Felix Auger-Aliassime to reach his third consecutive Monte Carlo semi-final.
Zverev, meanwhile, has battled his way through the draw without dominating, securing hard-fought wins over Cristian Garin and Joao Fonseca. While the German has been consistent in reaching the latter stages of tournaments, he has struggled against top-ranked opponents, losing all three of his semi-final clashes this year against elite players, including both Alcaraz and Sinner.
In the other semi-final, defending champion Alcaraz will take on home favorite Valentin Vacherot. The Spaniard showed resilience in a three-set win over Tomas Martin Etcheverry before delivering a dominant 6-3, 6-0 victory against Alexander Bublik in the quarter-finals.
Alcaraz has been nearly unstoppable on clay, winning 25 of his last 26 matches on the surface since the start of 2025. His consistency and dominance make him a strong favorite to progress once again.
Vacherot, however, has been the surprise package of the tournament. The Monaco native has enjoyed a breakthrough run, defeating top players such as Lorenzo Musetti, Hubert Hurkacz, and Alex de Minaur to become the first player from Monaco to reach the semi-finals of the event.
While Vacherot enters the match with momentum and home support, Alcaraz’s experience and form may prove decisive. With both semi-finals promising high-quality tennis, fans are set for an exciting finish in Monte Carlo.
