Victor Osimhen has undergone successful surgery on a fractured arm, with Galatasaray SK confirming the Nigerian striker is now on the road to recovery following his injury in the UEFA Champions League, MySportDab Reports.
The 27-year-old forward sustained a fractured right forearm during Galatasaray’s Round of 16 clash against Liverpool FC at Anfield. Despite attempting to continue, Osimhen was forced off at half-time after medical staff identified significant swelling.
In an official statement, Galatasaray revealed that the procedure was successfully carried out at Maslak Acıbadem Hospital by club doctor Yener Ince. “Our player Victor Osimhen underwent a successful operation. We wish him a speedy recovery and hope he returns to the pitch as soon as possible,” the club said.

While no exact return date has been confirmed, Osimhen is expected to be sidelined for several weeks. The striker himself suggested a recovery timeline of between four to six weeks, including a period of individual training before rejoining the squad.
Speaking during a recent livestream, Osimhen remained optimistic, describing the injury as minor compared to previous setbacks in his career.
The former SSC Napoli and LOSC Lille forward has previously overcome serious facial injuries and insisted he is confident of making a swift return.
Osimhen has been a key figure for Galatasaray this season, scoring 19 goals in 29 appearances across all competitions. His absence will be a significant blow for the Turkish champions, particularly with crucial fixtures approaching.
He is expected to miss several important matches, including the highly anticipated league clash against Fenerbahce SK on April 26, as Galatasaray continue their title defence.
