Liverpool destroyed Galatasaray 4-0 to qualify for the UEFA Champions League round 16 with a 4-1 aggregate, MySportDab reports.
The Premier League side made a statement after coming back from their loss in Turkey to finish off the job at home.
First Half Report
Liverpool had their game plan and wasted no time after Dominik Szoboszlai left footed strike with assist from Alexis Mac Allister made it 1-0 in the 25th minute.
Mohamed Salah missed a sitter before going on to miss a penalty in the additional time of the first half which left things staying 1-0.
Second Half Report
Galatasaray couldn’t do much as Victor Osimhen was forced off following an injury on his hand from first half.
Salah setup Hugo Ekitike who finished off with a left foot strike making sure it was 2-0 in the 51st minute as play carried on.
A goal from Ryan Gravenberch made sure it became 3-0 in the 53rd minute giving Salah the assist once again.
It could have been 4 nil in the 57th minute but VAR called for offside. Mohamed Salah scored in the 62nd minutes to make things 4-0 with assist from Florian Wirtz.
The goal had to be checked but nothing changed as Liverpool claimed a 4-0 victory against Galatasaray to qualify for the Uefa Champions League quarter final.
