Federico Valverde scored late penalty as Uruguay held England to a 1-1 draw in an international friendly encounter ahead of World Cup, MySportDab reports.
It was an interesting friendly game between both national teams who prepare for the World Cup tournament that is coming up.
First Half Report
Both sides started well as they operate with intention of an early goal to ensure the game opened up in their favor.
Thomas Tuchel England proved to be solid enough as they did not fumble with keeping their back line clear while pressing forward.
For Uruguay they stayed in the match also having to deal with the firepower of the Three Lions which kept knocking on their door.
The first half ended with both teams holding themselves to a 0-0 scoreline despite how close the opportunities they had.

Both national teams did not calm down as they looked more eager to make something of the second half.
Ben White scored in the 81st minute which saw the three lions claiming a 1-0 lead while there was little left to be played by both teams.
