Barcelona made light work of Newcastle United 7-2 to qualify 8-3 on aggregate in the UEFA Champions League, MySportDab reports.
Both teams came into the second leg with the scoreline level but it ended up with the Spanish side making it through into quarter finals.
First Half Report
It was Barcelona who scored an early goal in the 6th minute through Raphinha with an assist from Fermin Lopez to make it 1-0.
Newcastle United leveled things 1-1 through Anthony Elanga goal which came in the 15th minute with Lewis Hall making the assist.
Marc Bernal restored the lead 2-1 with a wonderful goal in the 18th minute which was assisted by Gerard Martin.
Anthony Elanga scored his brace and the level again through an assist from Harvey Barnes in the 28th minute to make it 2-2.
VAR failed to award the Premier League side a penalty in the 38th. Lamine Yamal scored from the penalty spot before the first half ended 3-2.
Second Half Report
Fermin Lopez increased the advantage with a right footed strike which was assisted by Raphinha to make things 4-2.
Robert Lewandowski scored a beauty in the 56th minute with assist from Raphinha to make things 5-2 before going on to score his brace.
Lewandowski scored his second in the 61st minute with an assist from Lamine Yamal which made it 6-2.
Raphinha scored his brace in the 72nd minute which made sure the scoreline became more embarrassing 7-2
Barcelona booked their qualifications into the next round of the Champions League with a 7-2 victory against Newcastle United.
