Atletico Madrid thrashed Tottenham 5-2 in their UEFA Champions League round 16 first leg match which took place in Spain, MySportDab reports.
it was a horror show got Spurs as they couldn’t do much which forced them into making an early change with their goalkeeper.
First Half Report
Julian Alvarez setup Llorente who wasted no time with his finishing which made the scoreline 1-0 with just seven minutes played.
Atletico Madrid doubled their lead through a goal from Antoine Greizmann in the 14th minute with an assist from Llorente which made it 2-0.
Julian Alvarez made it 3-0 with a goal in the 15th minute as both teams carried on playing with so much time left.
Greizmann setup Le Normand who scored a beauty in the 22nd minute making sure the scoreline increased to 4-0 between them.
Pedro Porro pulled one goal back for Tottenham in the 26th minute as they ended the first half with things staying 4-1.
Second Half Report
There wasn’t much needed to be done in the second half after five goals witnessed from the first 45 minutes.
Julian Alvarez made it 5-1 in the 55th minute with Greizmann making the assist as things carried on forward.
Solanke made it 5-2 with a wonderful goal which was assisted by Pedro Porro which came in the 76th minute before full time.
