Liverpool Board’s Decision On Arne Slot Confirmed Amid Team’s Dwindling Fortunes

Liverpool’s Premier League fortunes have rotated 360% left after they ended their long wait for the league title last season, MySportDab reports.

They have won just one of their last six Premier League matches – a poor return that has seen them slip off the race to retain the title despite splashing a whopping £480m on transfers to reinforce in the summer.

Moreover, the Merseysiders have found themselves in the seething battle to finish in the Champions League places this season due to their overall poor form.

Notably, the Reds’ dwindling fortunes has piled pressure on head coach Arne Slot, with the Dutchman’s job now coming under heavy scrutiny by the club’s hierarchy.

With a distant 17 points from league leaders and title hopefuls Arsenal, Liverpool’s league title chances appears to be a foregone conclusion.

According to Football Insider, Slot still has the backing of the club’s hierarchy despite being out of the league title race, but his job is likely to be at risk should they fail to qualify for next season’s Champions League.

The Premier League champions fell to a dramatic late home defeat to second-placed Manchester City last week – a result that further weakened their push for a top–four finish.

They currently sit five points outside the top four and will look to get back on track tonight when they travel to face Sunderland.

However, the race for a top–four finish is still a dicey adventure for Arne Slot’s side with Manchester United and Chelsea dominating the conversation with strong recent results.
