Real Madrid secured their spot in the UEFA Champions League round 16 after beating Benfica on aggregate 3-1 after a 2-1 victory, MySportDab reports.
It was a controversial game after what happened in Portugal between both teams leading to racism claims and ban.
First Half Report

They both came into the match with high hopes despite how things played out in Portugal giving the home side all advantage.
Benfica drew first blood through a goal from Silva in the 14th minute of the match which saw things became 0-1 between them.
Real Madrid responded immediately with a goal from Tchouaméni which made things 1-1 in the 16th minute with assist from Federico Valverde.
Arda Gular scored in the 32nd minutes, but his goal did not stand as it was cleared out by VAR after a review was made.
Second Half Report

With the scoreline 1-1 coming into the second half, both teams had so much to play against themselves.
The aggregate was already favorable to the home team. A goal from Vinicius Junior with assist from Federico Valverde in the 80th minute made it 2-1.
Things came to an end with Real Madrid claiming a 2-1 victory against Benfica which qualifies them into the next round with a 3-1 aggregate.
