Aston Villa reaches an agreement to sign Douglas Luiz Amid interest from Chelsea, MySportDab reports.
Chelsea were said to be leading the race to sign the midfielder who was keen on making his return to the Premier League.
The player is looking at returning back to where he once established himself before making a big move to Italy.
His move to Serie A did not work out as he struggled to get regular playing time before leaving on loan.
Douglas Luiz made a loan move to Nottingham Forest which did not also go well as he is set to make another move again.
According to Fabrizio Romano, he confirmed Aston Villa is set to sign the midfielder as a cover up plan due to injury crises.
