All the teams that finished in the top eight in the 2025–26 UEFA Champions League league-phase have learned their potential opponents in the round 16 following the knockout stage draws as released this afternoon, MySportDab reports.
Premier League title hopefuls Arsenal finished top of the rankings with a perfect record followed by Bayern Munich, Liverpool, and Tottenham completing the top four.
Barcelona led the other halve of the top-8 teams, finishing fifth in the standings followed by Chelsea, Sporting Lisbon, and Manchester City completing the top 8.
We reported earlier that the draws for the knockout play-offs have been released with teams from ninth to 24th in the standings set to battle it out in a two-legged home and away fixture for a place in the last 16.
Notably, the top eight teams were place in different brackets in the draws and have now learnt their potential opponents.
Arsenal will face the winner of Borussia Dortmund vs Atalanta or the winner of Olympiacos vs Bayer Leverkusen match.
Liverpool and Tottenham, who finished third and fourth in the rankings respectively, will meet the winner between Galatasaray and Juventus knockout playoff or either Club Brugge or Atletico Madrid.
Manchester City seems to have been handed a tough draw bracket. They will play the winner of Benfica vs Real Madrid or Bodo/Glimt vs Inter Milan.
The winner of the Newcastle United vs Qarabag knockout playoff fixture will take on either Chelsea or Barcelona in the round of 16.
The knockout playoffs will be played in February 2026, with the first leg coming up on February 17–18, and the second leg on February 24–25.
