Pape Gueye scored a brace as Senegal qualify for the AFCON 2025 quarterfinals from a 3-1 victory against Sudan, MySportDab reports.
The Sudanese struck first in a match which almost saw them make a statement after some wonderful display in the early minutes.
First Half Report

It was the first game for the knockout stages after the concludes of first round which produced 16 teams all together.
Sudan started well thanks for Abdudallah goal in the 6th minute which saw things turned 0-1 as they pushed forward.
It was a shocking scene which lasted until the 29th minute when Sadio Mane setup Pape Gueye who made sure things became level 1-1.
Nicolas Jackson setup Pape Gueye who scored again in the additional time to make things 2-1 before they both went inside for the first half break.
Second Half Report

The game came back on with both national teams doing all in their power to ensure they came out tops after 90 minutes.
Senegal increased their lead to 3-1 after a wonderful finish from Mbaye in the 77th minute which made sure it was done and dusted early.
Senegal claimed the 3-1 victory against Sudan which saw them qualify for the next round of the AFCON 2025 tournament in Morocco.
