Legendary defender Roberto Carlos is said to have undergone a heart surgery in the hospital, MySportDab reports.
He has been going through some issues before it got to a level where he had to undergo a procedure to correct the situation.
Carlos has been down for a while with what they said was a problem with his leg which was being checked upon.

Following tests, it was confirmed that the issue was much more critical than what he assumed and also those around him.
He was admitted to the hospital which surgery was booked to take place immediately to try and correct the problem.
According to report from The Athletic, they confirmed the former player had his surgery and currently in recovery.

“Former Real Madrid and Brazil full-back Roberto Carlos is recovering in hospital after undergoing heart surgery.
“Roberto Carlos, 52, had the operation in Brazil after initially being submitted to hospital to undergo tests on his leg.

“Sources close to the 2002 World Cup winner indicated he is now in the process of recovery.
Roberto Carlos is currently in recovery following the surgery which is expected to see him stay in the hospital for a while before leaving.
