Brahim Diaz was on target as Morocco opened up the AFCON tournament with a 2-0 win against Comoros, MySportDab reports.
The host nation set the ball rolling as they claimed a wonderful victory and three points in the opening game of the tournament.
First Half Report
The game started well after a massive opening ceremony performance from artistes like Davido, French Montana and more.
Morocco came in prepared for the match which saw them being handed a penalty under the first 10 minutes of play.
However, Rahimi was unable to make it count as Comoros goalkeeper did an amazing job of putting up a wonderful save.
There was nothing both national teams could do as they ended up playing a 0-0 goalless scoreline after 45 minutes of action.
Second Half Report
The second half was filled with more pace and opportunities which was mostly coming the way of the host nation.
Brahim Diaz broke the deadlock with a goal in the 55th minute thanks to Mazraoui assist which made things 1-0.
El Kaabi doubled the advantage with a goal in the 74th minute which was assisted by Salah-Eddine which made it 2-0.
Morocco secured the 2-0 victory which gave them all three points against Comoros in what was a good opener for the host nation.
