Mohamed Salah scored a late goal as Egypt claimed a 2-1 victory against Zimbabwe, MySportDab reports.
The most successful African team were able to turn things around to claim all three points in their opening AFCON match.
First Half Report
Both sides matched each other for everything they had to offer in defending and attacking. It was a fine start for both nations who made opportunities.
Prince Dube stunned Egypt after scoring a beautiful goal which came in the 20th minute with assist from Emmanuel Jalai which made it 0-1.
There was a swift response from the Egyptian who pressed more but struggled to put anything together to get themselves back into the match.
The first half finished with Zimbabwe ahead against all odds which did not favor them to do anything much.
Second Half Report
Omar Marmoush restored things to level terms 1-1 after his brilliant goal which came in the 64th minute with Hamdi making the assist.
Both teams kept at it entering into the 80th minute mark with things still staying on same 1-1 scoreline.
Mohamed Salah made things happened in additional time which was enough to see Egypt claimed a 2-1 victory after falling behind in the first half.
