Galatasaray has confirmed Victor Osimhen sustained an injury during the World Cup qualifiers playoffs match, MySportDab reports.
The Super Eagles striker played a part of the loss against DR Congo which happened in Morocco few days ago.
He was removed after the first half in what came as a surprise to many knowing how important the game was to the team.

There was no information made available by the NFF after the game before all invited players left to their respective clubs.
According to Galatasaray, they confirmed the striker picked up an injury which clarified his situation during the playoff game.

“In the MRI examination performed today at our sponsor hospital Acıbadem, our football player Victor Osimhen, a moderate level of strain (strain and bleeding) was detected in his left posterior muscle and treatment has been started.
“Our national player Kaan Ayhan’s MRI examinations will be performed this afternoon.

There is no exact length concerning the new injury as AFCON is around the corner as preparations will commence in due time.
Victor Osimhen is also expected to play a huge part for the Nigeria national team as they would look to redeem themselves after failing to qualify for World Cup.
