South Africa beat Rwanda 3-0 to book their automatic ticket for the FIFA World Cup 2026, MySportDab reports.
The Bafana Bafana finished top of the group after a commanding victory which saw them overcome other teams.
First Half Report
The game was another important one in the group which also have Nigeria and Benin playing to finish top.
Mbatha scored the opening goal which saw Bafana Bafana took a 1-0 lead giving them what was needed in the 5th minute.
They doubled their lead in the 26th minute after a wonderful goal from Appollis which made sure they were secured 2-0.
There was nothing more than happened in the first half which came to an end in the favor of Bafana Bafana who moved top.
Second Half Report
The second half was there for both teams to take, but it was the home side who kept at it with their lead.
Makgopa scored in the 72nd minute which saw the scoreline increased further to 3-0 ensuring there was no way back for the opposition while there was little time to play.
South Africa finished off the job and qualified for the 2026 World Cup after beating Rwanda 3-0 to end up as winners of their group.
