Lionel Messi scored a brace as Argentina claimed a 3-0 victory against Venezuela in their FIFA World Cup qualifiers, MySportDab reports.
The forward scored in what could be his last game for the national team which he is looking at retirement.
First Half Report
It was an incredible display from the World Champions who dominated play from kickoff but struggled to make something happen.
Venezuela held their ground and ensure there was not room for mistake in the first 35 minutes which was well played by them.
Lionel Messi was able to find the breakthrough with a beauty in the 39th minute which made sure things became 1-0 with assist from Julian Alvarez.
More action was seen from the first half before it came to an end with the home side staying with a 1-0 lead.
Second Half Report
More action came in the second half which the goals kept on coming. The scoreline became 2-0 with a sensational finish from Lautaro Martinez.
The Inter Milan forward scored a wonderful goal after receiving an assist from Nico Gonzalez which doubled their advantage in the 76th minutes.
Lionel Messi scored again in the 80th minute to make it a brace for himself and scoreline 3-0 with yet another beautiful goal.
The goal was assisted by Tiago Almanda as Argentina ended up claiming a 3-0 victory against Venezuela which gave them three points.
