Manuel Akanji have reveal the reason behind his late move from Manchester City to Inter Milan, MySportDab reports.
The defender was one of Pep Guardiola squad who struggle to pin a regular spot in defense since joining them.
The concluded summer window was one which had it moments as many player saw the opportunity to move on.
Among those moving on is Akanji who saw an offer which came in from numerous clubs including in the Premier League.
Everton did make an offer which the defender ended up not accepting as he saw Inter Milan as a better opportunity.
According to Fabrizio Romano, he confirmed the comments which came from the player on why he left Manchester City.

“There were six central defenders in the squad, Pep Guardiola openly told us it wouldn’t be easy for anyone to have regular playing time”.
“It was not an ideal situation, but I was well aware of competition for places”.
The decision was purely based on him wanting to get more playing time at this point of his career as a player.
Manuel Akanji is settling in nicely as a new Inter Milan player who is expected to play a huge role with the team.
