Bayer Leverkusen have appointed Kasper Hjulmand as their new manager after Erik Ten Hag sacking, MySportDab reports.

The decision was taken after several talks was held with potential candidates who were seeking after by the club.

Leverkusen decided to part ways with Erik Ten Hag who only took over two games this season that didn’t go well.

It was earlier claimed that the Netherlands international was sacked due to poor results which started from preseason.

However, news broke out that the manager wasn’t an open person to all those around him including his staffs.

There was no relationship which unfortunately led to the club taking a decision to let him go and hire a new manager.

Bayer Leverkusen confirmed today that they have appointed a new manager who will immediately take over the team.

Here Is What Was Said:

“We are delighted to have signed Kasper Hjulmand, whose work we have been following closely for a long time.

“For several years, his assistant coach with the Danish national team, Ismael Camenforte, also worked for us.

“Kasper even personally recommended Ismael to us at the time. As a result, we are very familiar with his training methods at our club, and Kasper also knows our club very well from recent years.

“He will now work with our team to develop a clear and dominant style of play. Kasper is the right person to develop our new Werkself back into a top team that will strive for the most ambitious national and international goals.

“In addition to his strong technical credentials as a coach, Kasper Hjulmand’s principles of team leadership also convinced us.

“A newly assembled and developing team like ours needs clear guidelines and will benefit from Kasper’s transparent, communicative, and empathetic style.”

Kasper Hjulmand comes in on a two year contract which will see him handle the position until 2027 before another decision will be taken.

The club are hopeful of getting the best out of their new manager as their plan was to rebuild under Erik Ten Hag who did not last more than two games.
