Tottenham have reached an agreement to sign Xavi Simons from RB Leipzig this summer, MySportDab reports.
The Netherlands international was nearing a move to Chelsea who have been holding talks for a very long time.
Things did not go as planned with Chelsea as Tottenham have fully hijacked the deal to sign the player this summer.
Spurs entered the race after losing out with a move for Eberechi Eze who dumped them for Arsenal at very last minute.
The London club have finally signed another top player who is expected to join them in the next couple of days.
According to Fabrizio Romano, he confirmed an agreement have been reached to sign the Dutch international from RB Leipzig.

“All Signed between Spurs and RB Leipzig for fee worth €60m fixed after agreement revealed overnight.
“Xavi has completed his medical and his contract is also now signed.
“Contract until 2030 plus 2 year option.
It is clear as of now that Chelsea move won’t be happening as Tottenham have won the race to sign the player.
Xavi Simons will be unveiled as quickly as possible to enable him get integrated into Thomas Frank team immediately.
