Rio Nguoma scored a late winner as Liverpool claimed a narrow 2-3 victory against 10 men Newcastle United, MySportDab reports.
Anthony Gordon was shown a red card in the match which saw his side giving it a good fight but narrowly bow to a loss.
First Half ReportÂ
It was a fair game from the opening 45 minutes which had both teams getting their second taste of action for the new season.
The match was close with the visitors getting two yellow cards after half hour of action which was played between them.
Ryan Gravenberch scored the opening goal in the 35th minute after teaming up with Cody Gakpo which made things 0-1.

Second Half ReportÂ
The action resumed with the visitors making things 0-2 after a beauty from Hugo Ekitike who was assisted by Cody Gakpo.
Liverpool were in the lead after the 46th minutes goal from their new signing. The fightback for Newcastle United started after Bruno Guimarães goal.
The home side pulled things to 1-2 in the 57th minute with assist from Livramento. Things became 2-2 after a stunner from William Osula in the 88th minute.
Rio Nguoma stunned the home team as he scored in the addition time with an assist from Mohamed Salah which made things 2-3.
The 16 year old goal was enough to ensure the Premier League Champions claimed all three points despite their horrible play all through 90 minute.
