It was a balanced opening minutes of the match which saw both teams put in a good shift to try gain control.
Athletic Bilbao held on fine doing what needed to be done as they also pushed to try and take the lead which did not happen.
It took Arsenal a long wait until the 35th minute which saw Viktor Gyokeres score a stunner to ensure the game turned 1-0.
Another goal followed through from Bukayo Saka in the 37th minute making sure the match turned 2-0 between both teams.
There was nothing else that happened with them staying with the 2-0 scoreline before returning for the remaining 45 minutes.
The Premier League side kept at it and looked good with their play as more changes happened with both managers calling on other players to come in.
Kai Havertz scored a beauty in the 82nd minute making sure the Gunners had a 3-0 lead with a lot more to play.
